Seasonal Projects

Project Hospitality

This is a city-wide shelter program for Tucson’s homeless population administered by the Salvation Army.  On cold winter nights, churches take turns hosting about 15 guests for supper, overnight, breakfast and a sack lunch.

Paul’s Socks

Before Christmas, we fill 600 socks with toiletries, fruit and candy canes, that are distributed to clients of the Casa Maria Soup Kitchen during the holiday season.

Angel Tree

Angel Tree is a community ministry that provides Christmas gifts for the children of prison inmates.  Gifts for each child are purchased, wrapped and delivered by members of the congregation

Christmas Market

On several Sunday mornings in December, church goers are invited to shop for alternative Christmas gifts – supporting groups like Heiffer International, a Togo mission in West Africa, the House of Neighborly Service, or the Tucson Diaper Bank.

Winterhaven Lights

Each December, as Tucsonans visit the community of Winterhaven to see the display of Christmas lights, Trinity volunteers help collect the “entrance fee” of canned goods for the Community Food Bank.

Primavera New Year’s Eve

On the last day of the year, we prepare and deliver party snacks for residents of the Primavera Shelters to enjoy at their New Year’s Eve Party.

Cup of Water

20 to 30 volunteers distribute free water during the 4th Avenue Street Fair that is held twice a year, once in the spring and once before Christmas.

Tucson Homeless Connect

Twice a year, the city’s Homeless Connect event is held on the Trinity campus.  Volunteers provide hospitality and a wide array of services for hundreds of homeless clients – haircuts, dental work, job counseling, photo IDs, food stamps, bus tickets, phone cards and more.
