Class Info

Word of Life

This class studies both Old and New Testament books. Using a guide, the class discusses the historical background and how the Scriptures relate to our lives today. This is an opportunity to dig deep and wrestle with important Biblical themes.
Location: Upper Room - East

Karl's Crowd

Theologian Karl Barth said Christians engage the world best with a Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other. A resource called The Wired Word invites conversation around one story that made the week's headlines. Occasionally, the group hosts special speakers or other programs.
Location: Upper Room - West

Lectio

This class offers a way to read and pray the Scriptures. Using an ancient practice called lectio divina (divine reading), we work with one of the texts for Sunday worship, and practice listening for God's Word to us.
Location: Upper Level - Bell Room

Theology for Today

Gather with friends wanting to explore contemporary issues in Christianity. Using books, DVDs, and other resources, we discuss and explore how to be a faithful witness in our modern world.
This class does not meet in December or over the summer months.
Location: Upper Room - East
